Your quote
A price before we book
We price the job from what you tell us: what you are seeing, where it is, and how easy it is to get to. If we find more on the day, we agree it with you before doing it.
- Free advice over the phone before you book anything
- A quote for the job before anything is booked
- Full range of detection equipment on every visit
- Pay securely by card when the job is complete, with an invoice by email
Quoted separately
These follow the leak rather than form part of finding it, so they are quoted once we know the extent, and never added to the bill without your say-so.
- Drying the structure out and restoration after the leak is repaired
- Full reinstatement to a decorative finish
- Larger works such as excavation, screed removal or roof repairs
Questions
Pricing, answered plainly
How much will it cost?
Every job is different, so we price each one individually. Tell us what you are seeing, where, and how long it has been going on, and we will give you a quote for the job before anything is booked.
Is the quote the price I pay?
Yes, for the work quoted. If on the day you ask us to do more, or the job turns out to need more, for example a second leak or an area we could not reach at first, we agree the extra with you before doing it.
How do I pay?
By card. When you accept the quote, we send you a secure link to book. The quoted amount is reserved on your card, and nothing is taken until the job is complete. When the engineer finishes, the quoted amount and anything extra you agreed are taken from the same card, and you get the invoice by email.
What if I need to cancel?
You can cancel or move your appointment free of charge more than 14 days before it. Within 14 days of the appointment, a cancellation charge of £130 applies.
Will my insurance pay for it?
Usually. Trace and access cover in a buildings policy pays for locating the leak and for the damage caused by getting to it, with limits commonly between five and fifteen thousand pounds. We invoice so the cost can be submitted with your claim.
Is drying the property out included?
No. Finding the leak stops the water; it does not dry the building. Structural drying, dehumidifiers and putting right what the water damaged are a separate piece of work, quoted once the leak is fixed and we can measure how far the water has travelled. Often none of it is needed, and we will tell you so. Where it is, drying is normally recoverable on an escape of water claim.
